The ADAPTA-Rack Journey

Since 2018 we have been working on a solution to allow you to connect an off-the-shelf bike rack to your caravan or camper-trailer without the need for custom brackets or fabrication. This came from our own need to transport bikes on our caravans without having to spend thousands and thousands of dollars. After many prototypes and lots of design tweaks the ADAPTA-Rack range of products were created. Designed and made in Australian by people who love to get out on caravan adventures.

The ADAPTA-Rack Journey

The Beginning

In 2018 we planned a family trip to Dubbo Zoo. I needed a way to transport bikes on the caravan but I didn't have the $ for a special caravan bike rack. I knew the home mad contraption I knocked up one afternoon was a bit undercooked but I thought it would at least last the trip out there and back....... I was wrong.
So I set about designing something that would solve the problem once and for all without busting the bank account.

Many, Many Designs

I made and tested so many different designs. Rear bar mounted, drawbar mounted, tilting, fixed, clamp plate mounted, base plate mounted until after a number of years I settled on the concept & products you see today. Engineered, tested & simple.

Solution Complete

Launching ADAPTA-Rack in 2025 was such a thrill. The goal was to provide the caravan and camping community with bike carrying options - and we did it! A range of products that are universal, easy to install at prices that make sense.

Our Patent Pending design is the result of hard work, dedication, lots of engineering, testing and prototyping.

All of this so you can bolt it on and enjoy biking adventures all around our great country!
